On June 23rd, we participated in the Girl Scouts of America's annual "Fork it Over" event, held at The Delaney House in Holyoke Massachusetts. Our Executive Chef Dan was tasked with creating a "savory" dish out of something very sweet; Girl Scout cookies! Dan took on the challenge like a champ, and deep fried coconut shrimp to order, incorporating crushed Samoa cookies into his batter. We didn't take first place, but we did get a People's Choice 2nd place nod! The money raised through ticket sales, raffles, and donations will be used to send young ladies to summer camp, to learn and explore with the Girl Scouts of America. We were pleased and proud to stand alongside so many other amazing chefs and restaurants supporting such a great cause. Thanks to The Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts for allowing us to be a part of something so great!
